Farmington, Conn. – On June 13th, Co-Communications, Inc., a full-service public relations and marketing agency, was recognized with the ‘Best in Show’ as well as nine Mercury Awards by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at the Connecticut Valley, Southern Connecticut, and Westchester/Fairfield Chapters’ Annual Mercury Awards celebration at the Pond House Grille in Glastonbury.

Co-Communications received ‘Best in Show’ for the content marketing program it developed for Graduate!CT. The online campaign was designed to attract potential ‘comebackers’ to complete their degrees and generated 235 leads in 7-months.
Co-Communications also received nine Mercury Awards, including five Gold Mercury Awards on behalf of Filomeno & Company, P.C., Graduate!CT, End Hunger Connecticut (EHC!) and the MetroHartford Alliance. Additionally, the organization received a Gold Mercury Award for its Co-Communications Blog. The agency also received four Silver Mercury Awards for work created on behalf of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS), Hartford Business Journal and Co-Communications.
The awards recognized a broad spectrum of Co-Communications’ services including inbound marketing, research, advocacy, event publicity, social media marketing, integrated communications, and media relations.
Additionally, Stacey Cohen, President of Co-Communications, was honored with the 2013 Practitioner of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding service to the public relations profession.
Awarded annually, PRSA’s Mercury Awards recognize outstanding advertising, marketing, and public relations campaigns throughout Connecticut, Westchester County, New York, and Western Massachusetts. To ensure impartial judging, the awards were judged by the Alaska chapter.
