Jessica Lyon

Jess Lyon is Partner, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Co-Communications, where she leads company operations, heads the agency’s Connecticut office and provides strategic oversight across client accounts. Drawing on her background in news, Jess brings an editorial perspective to helping organizations identify what differentiates them, communicate with clarity and translate business goals into creative, measurable public relations and marketing strategies.

Jess launched Co-Communications’ Connecticut office in 2006 and has played an integral role in the agency’s continued growth and evolution. She advises executives and organizations across the real estate, healthcare, nonprofit, education and financial services sectors, guiding integrated communications programs that encompass strategic positioning, media relations, thought leadership, content development, digital marketing and reputation management.

Her work has earned recognition from the Public Relations Society of America, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Ad Club of Westchester and the Ad Club of Connecticut. She is also a Hartford Business Journal 40 Under Forty honoree and a frequent presenter at conferences, universities and business organizations.

Prior to joining Co-Communications, Jess worked at Prosek Partners, where she served as a senior account executive on the agency’s financial communications team. She represented clients ranging from electronic brokerage firms to mortgage lending institutions and secured coverage in national business and consumer media, including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Newsday and Investment Dealer’s Digest.

Jess completed the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Principles of Fundraising Certificate Program and holds a B.S. in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University.
