We understand that the education industry is competitive. From community colleges to universities to private schools, students have many choices for where to pursue their education –while educators and administrators have choices over where to teach and lead. Crystallizing a clear message that reinforces your school’s competitive advantage is key, as is getting it in front of the right audiences, through the right channel, at the right time. Our team can help you develop a communications plan that blends strategy and creativity to stay top-of-mind among your target audiences while ensuring all marketing is working to support your larger campus-wide goals. Let’s get started!
Every organization’s PR, marketing, and business goals are unique, as are their target audiences. We pride ourselves on keeping the needs of each audience top-of-mind and tailoring our efforts to achieve those goals.
When the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) enlisted us to help engage students in conversations around educational transformation, we focused our efforts around helping students make their voices heard. The Student Voices Contest challenged middle and high school students across the state to develop videos and essays showcasing their ideas for improving education. In two years, we garnered 150 thought-provoking submissions thanks to a student-focused digital marketing strategy that included social media and video, media relations, and targeted outreach to teachers. The winning scholars’ insights were captured in dynamic synthesis videos and a small group of students even presented their recommendations to the State Board of Education.
For higher education institutions, all eyes are on enrollment. Our strategy for Fordham University’s Real Estate Institute focuses on creating enrollment marketing that will resonate with potential applicants. From events to PR, everything we do is designed to help meet enrollment goals–a number we helped the client exceed by 20% during the first and second enrollment periods. Of note, graduate program enrollment increased by more than 300% after just three months of PR.
When Manhattanville College set out to engage the community in a series of “Castle Conversations,” Co-Communications provided PR and marketing support, including media relations, social media, and graphic design. We secured Arianna Huffington and Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson as speakers solidified media partnerships and generated more than 4.5million media impressions, all of which played integral roles in achieving a nearly sold-out first season.
Whether we’re working with private schools and colleges to develop enrollment marketing programs or collaborating with membership organizations to showcase thought leadership, our higher education public relations and marketing programs remain centered around the client’s end goals and delivering meaningful results. We embrace strategic thinking and big ideas to develop marketing programs that make an impact. Ready to take your higher ed marketing to the next level? Is it time to ramp up PR and marketing to drive school enrollment? We can help.
