The annual award, now in its eighth year, is presented to young professionals – ages 21 to 40 – who exemplify excellence in their professional lives as well as through volunteer and leadership roles within the Orange County, NY community.
“I’m honored to be a recipient and become part of a prestigious group of Rising Stars past, present and future,” said Santacruz. “I was born and raised in Orange County and am so proud to still be a part of it – especially through the business and nonprofit communities.”
Santacruz recently joined the Co-Communications team from Hudson Valley DKI where she served as a Business Development Executive, handling social media, public relations, and business to business sales and marketing.

Her previous experience also includes: board member for the Hudson Valley Oil and Energy Council; member of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors; and, Fundraising Co-Chair for the Builder’s Association of the Hudson Valley Builder’s Blitz for Habitat for Humanity.
Santacruz enjoys being involved in the business and non-profit community to better understand the needs of her clients and serve the community as a whole.
She currently sits on three committees with the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, including Chair of the Young Professionals’ Social and Networking Committee.
Santacruz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from St. John’s University.
The 2014 Rising Stars event will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Villa Venezia in Middletown, NY.
